With the intention of helping to spread the contributions of the Friends community more widely, Amigatronics uses the following means:
Blog:
Content:
E Amigatronics It is the cornerstone of the project. Since it took shape in 2007, it has been and remains the primary medium we use to publish content. In our blog You'll find all sorts of articles related to the Amiga and retro gaming in general. News, interviews, features, tutorials, and much more.
Updates: Frequent.
Languages: The blog has a native Spanish version and a full English version . It also integrates Google Translate, allowing you to read us in any language.
Social Network:
Main Social Networks (X, Facebook and Mastodon):
Content:
On our main social networks we mainly disseminate the contributions of the community, (developers, programmers, companies, artists, events, news portals and other content creators such as youtubers and podcasters).
Updates: Constant. Several times a day, every day of the year.
Languages: Multilingual
Secondary Social Networks (Instagram, TikTok, Twitch):
Content:
Today, we use these networks occasionally to share our own and third-party contributions, as well as more casual and sometimes even irrelevant content.
Update : Sporadic.
Languages: Spanish / English.
Multimedia Platforms (Podcast / Video):
Content:
Podcast (Ivoox, Spotify, Google Podcast, iTunes):
Since 2013 (not consecutively) we have had several programs in podcast format such as «Entre Amiga"tronics" in the style of debates and interviews, "Into the Wonderful," without a specific profile as it is useful for specific topics that may require a large extension of time, and finally "Amiga"tronics, the Podcast" includes current news, tutorials, reviews, interviews, historical overviews, and much more. Undoubtedly, the latter is the most labor-intensive due to the complexity of coordinating a team and the work of several people, which involves choosing topics, research, writing, recording, and editing, as well as subsequent publication and distribution, which may include graphic design, among other things. For this reason, each season is limited to eight episodes per month.
Language: Spanish.
Video (YouTube):
On this platform we publish works of different kinds such as interviews, reports, compilations and reviews of video games, reviews and demoscene, and more.
Due to the complexity of editing and the time it requires, we do not set any publication dates and publish when it suits us best.
Language: Spanish / English.
In addition, all team members and collaborators contribute their own content such as video game development, video documentaries, gameplays, music and demoscene, among others.
Community chat:
On Telegram we have a young but growing channel where we can all share our experiences, chats, help and whatever else comes to mind.
Other distribution channels:
In addition to all that, we have the blog feed and the Whatsapp channel (the latter is currently in testing).
Conclusion and final notes:
As you can see, we haven't stopped, and as we've said since our first post in 2007, our main goal is simply to collaborate in promoting those who contribute quality content to the Amiga community, with a focus on the Spanish-speaking community, without asking for or expecting anything in return. We never try to compete with or offend anyone; instead, we strive to build a sense of community and are always willing to help in any way we can. Our passion is Amiga and helping to keep its legacy alive. Anyone with a project or contribution who needs our support, we'll be there 🙂
